About the Farm

It started with a micro idea in a macro city.

In 2019, we made the leap from behind the line to behind the seeds. After years working in New York's restaurant scene, we understood what chefs needed—and what was missing. Too often, produce traveled from distant farms, losing freshness and flavor along the way. We wanted to change that by growing exceptional microgreens right in Brooklyn, minutes from the kitchens we served.

Our mission was simple: bring intensely flavorful, nutrient-dense greens directly to chefs and consumers—no middlemen, no cross-country shipping. Soon, our microgreens became a must-stop at Manhattan's Union Square Greenmarket and a staple on plates across the city.

Then we moved to Portland.

As our business grew, so did our vision. Portland's thriving food scene was the perfect next chapter. In 2021, we reimagined our urban farm as La Petite Ferme—the little farm with outsized flavor.

Today, we specialize in microgreens and tender baby vegetables, all harvested at their peak early growth stage. This is when plants are most nutrient-dense, delicate, and explosively flavorful—the moment that transforms a dish from good to unforgettable. You'll find us at Portland's best farmers markets, delivering urban-grown produce with the freshness and quality that only local can provide.

Our Methods

We've always believed the best food comes from natural methods—for people and the planet. That's why every green we grow is free of herbicides and pesticides.

Our approach is intentionally simple: Soil + Seed + Water + Light. In our carefully monitored urban environment, we coax out maximum flavor, nutrition, and tenderness from every plant.

From harvest to market, we keep it clean: greens are picked at peak freshness and delivered in 100% recyclable containers. No chemicals in the soil, no waste in the bin.
